Started out this morning with a seemingly malfunctioning detector, a suspect pinpointer, and a new spot I had found after consulting Professor Google and his spouse Dr Google-Earth. This area is an park that has been around for a long time - I figured there HAD to be some pre-decs somewhere . . . . .

Had to be the worst ground I ever tried to get signals off. Seems like a lot of ground noise, plus bottlecaps everywhere!!! All just under the surface, blowing the ears off. This continued the trend of yesterday afternoon, where all I could dig were bottlecaps. Couldn't not dig them, as they were coming up literally everywhere on the AT Pro VDIs from 75 up to over 90, and without any iron noise. Ended up with mumblety-mumble bottle-caps and $2.64 in change yesterday, plus another dog tag (3 in the last fortnight).

This morning's bottlecaps were all ringing from 75 to 80 - had to dig them, as they are coin numbers on the AT Pro (1c, 2c, $1 and $2). Bottlecaps everywhere!! Also some lead'n'stuff, and a bunch of deep signals that seemed to stay deep, and some falsing also I suspect.

Moved a bit away from the bottlecaps, to an area where it looks as though people should have walked through over the years. No signals for a while, then a nice juicy tone  (83-84) - a roo penny!!! Talk about stoked!!! I KNEW there had to be a pre-dec somewhere.

Then - another one in the next hole!! Then move along a bit another!! Then a bit later another . . . then a sixpence!! My first!!! Then a halfpenny!! Then just a bit later the best of all a 1912 C'wealth penny!!!! And all before lunch!!!!!

Had an awesome morning - still buzzing. Nice to have done it at a spot I sussed too . . . .

Good results there

An area with plenty of junk & bottle tops can be testing but also should hide some goodies .

    Nice work

Second time at the site I quit after getting sick of the screw caps. Counted them later and it came to 50, seems that 50 is about the max for a day before I give up.
