Minelabs new Technology;
« on: August 25, 2017, 07:57 »
Well if its called a EQUINOX  the timing is right to release it in september. But it looks like to me they are only doing air tests which leaves me spaced out. May be it has a ecliptic coordinate  system. and it looks like Holden have got the right vehicle to drive it coming soon. The  all new EQUINOX.
Regards Beeepppnnn.

I see it mentioned in last months Seeker magazine that a new one was coming out. i had hoped it was in yesterdays edition but looks like only the Gold Monster is featured. Must be in next months. Some stiff competition out there now in the relic and coin side of things.

Hey Beepn,
maybe we can be testers?    I'm sure we can test it in a way the Minelab pro's didn't think of! :)
All constructive feedback is good, even its it not what they want to hear!

Would be good if Minelab used some real world people :)

Hi Brian,
All we need for a good start is to have discrimination to seperate squares, retacangles, from circles. If some one designed a format for just circles i would be in like flynn. Even a detector just for rings like a fly rod for trout. How far down the track before it happens BUT  if they make them to good why would you buy another.
Regards Beeepppnnn.

I think this technology already exists (and more)....but like you say, why bring it to market when current technology is still returning a nice profit.... >:D

I think r&d in all companies have a lot of  developement in  detectors sitting on the shelves if they  need to put a certain type of detector out their they can push forward and not get behind. Maybe this technology with Minelab is 4 frequencies that can be used all at once OR as 4 single frequencies. I think that there will be a few challengers coming in 2017 from other manufacturers to get a bit of our hard earned doe.

Exciting times ahead ::) :o Regards Beeepppnnn.

Even a detector just for rings like a fly rod for trout.

Already do it for gold detectors . . . .

. . . . now if they could just put a decent discriminator in an affordable gold detector I wouldn't have to dig buckshot . . .

I was listening to a podcast that had a Whites representative on it, he said that the detecting companies patent more technology than they use. That is ,they have an idea, patent it and then wait for the technology to catch up. It will be interesting to see if anything that's not a gimmick is on offer.

My guess it will be an off shoot of one of the countermine series. One of our forum members will have done some testing with it.
What did minelabs coundown clock of a few years ago lead to. Was it the 3030 ?

Well guys its a bit of a guessing game at the moment BUT, Could it be an update of the lower range of detectors with a different technology so they start off with the lower price bracket and apply this technology to their whole range with better  bells &  whistles in their more up market beepers. Just a thought.

I see the English test version have the gold prospecting mode disabled. I think that it will work better in our ground with the large optional coil, i think it was a 15X12". It will be interesting to know what our local forum tester was using coil wise.
