A scarce token from Adelaide.   John Howell  Bookseller.    Started in Hindley St in around 1855 and moved to Rundle St around 1864/5
Found at the beach!!

Funny thing about it i nearly put it in the junk pile  because im still a newb. When i took the dirt all of i typed it into google and they were on ebay for 40 bucks  lol learnt that lesson fast now i look up all the strange digs  and study them

A couple of tokens dug on 21-01-14. Seemed like a pocket spill. They were  dug separately with an 1858 penny but, they were in a very small area of less than a metre.

We found this little token the other night and about 5" deep in a park near our harbour. It's about the size of a 5c piece and appears to be a bronze type metal. 
From what we can find out it was for use on a ferry service in Sydney Harbour some years ago 
Probably worth nothing but priceless to us.

Our first find of a token like this and we were very surprised.
