Whites MXT
« on: October 31, 2012, 13:54 »
Hi all, I have just purchased a Whites MXT detector(s/hand) from the US, it's on it's way now. Anyone on the forum use one? I hope I have done the right thing purchasing this but it seems to have good reviews. Any help or opinions would be appreciated and has anyone who uses one have a chart for the vdi no's on aussie coins? Thanks look forward to any replies. Pics of unit attached.

Cheers,

Good choice there rocker53, the only number I stay away from is a solid 22 as it's always a modern pull tab. You will have too keep your eye on the screen as the tracker series is only a single tone machine.

If cherry picking (Zinc with VDI 58, 62/63 is $2 and $1 coins)

I'm sure you will love it  :)

PM me if you need help or want more numbers and I'll rake my brain

Hey Count Pierre, you had me worried for a minute - until I spotted the "smileys"!!!!
Thanks DevilDave for the info, I can't wait for it to arrive, I've read lots of reports and reviews on it and I think I will be a "happy chappy" :D when it turns up. I'll PM you if I need some more info,
Cheers,

The MXT still hasn't arrived :( USPS tracking states that it arrived in Aussie on Nov. 10th - I guess that means it's in customs. Aust.Post tracking says " item not trackable"!!! It was sent us priority mail international, anyone know how long it would take to be delivered? I hate the waiting game >:(

Great choice though i agree 22 is a pulltab number i also found a half Sovereign with it. So what i do is ignore it in modern sites but when you do the old sites i would dig it..   Cheers Marco

Hey guys I'm looking at getting a cubmaster gt but I noticed the Mxt pro. I currently have a minelab explorer and its a prick of a thing always get a good signal and its a pull tab I know the coin masters are good with pull tabs. What's the Mxt like is it easy to know what is good and what is trash unlike the explorer
