Amazing coil for tiny and i mean TINY gold... Doesn't get fantastic depth but man is that coil handy..

The stock coil is damn near as good, but as i said above, if you want TINY gold, the 4x6 is the coil to use..

Put a 4 x 6 shooter on the old V-Sat today.
Realy nice, Hot on the small stuff and handles the iron minerals better than the standard coil but still will not gb extreme Iron mineralisation at low gain  but a nice coil just the same and I am certain it will be great on the mullock heaps and can detect an 1.0 g at 6 inches in quiet ground  at  a gain set of 6.
Also a 0.2 at 4 inches at gain set of 6.
Higher gain was better depth but noisy/chattery in my area.

Treated my old V-Sat to a shiny new 6 x 10 DD today, with thanks to  of Goldsearch Australia.
Works nice and smooth and does not double blip all over the place on small targets like a lot of other eliptical DDs.
Handles iron minerals well although the coil still has to be held a few inches above the ground to prevent overload on high iron minerals, but can still pick out a one gramer a couple of inches in the ground from that hight at 50% gain and with a slow SAT. A 5 gramer nugg bangs in hard at 6 inches, so much deeper will be easy on nuggs of that size in hot ground..
There is still plenty of life left in my older detectors yet.
