 8) Looks like someone is getting on with using a TDI SL in Australia..........defenitely different to what we usually hear.

Re: Pulse Scan TDI-PRO
Very cool.. haven't had a find with the SL yet, but I'll keep swinging.

Any verdict ?

It's very capable...  Runs perfectly fine in Aus...  The DF Coil is a bit noisy but with a bit of fiddling around it's just fine..

Great on the beach, and gold fields it does pretty well..

.66 and .71gr nuggets found with the TDI SL both over 5-6" depth...   Smaller was picked from the same area with the Eureka gold..
Total time spent swinging maybe 22-25 hours..

The key i found was swing speed, too fast and i didn't even hear the larger nugget... Slow it way down and it was a nice clear signal...

July 21-24 results..

Excellent  :D.........and some say it's no good, it won't work over here  ???

Had a lend of a Coiltek 12x8" Platypus and a 10x5" Joey PI coil.

The Platypus worked well on my TDI-Pro..........I liked it better than the Joey.........beware both coils seem to reduce detecting time on one battery charge.

For tiny bits my preference is on DD coils..........especially if they are made specifically for a PusleScan  TDI. !!!
