CTX 3030 ID target list
« on: February 14, 2014, 22:00 »
Is anyone aware of a target ID list for the CTX, would love to get my hands on a copy, as I am about to buy one, & will take any help I can get, some reports say it is very easy to use, other reports on settings I've read make it look very complicated!!!

Make it as easy or as complicated as you want . Auto ground balance / Auto sensitivity / Wireless headphones / Waterproof / GPS / Adjustable tone boxes . Its so easy to use its ridiculous . I have been going to a park that has been smashed by detectors over decades . I am getting pre decimal coins by the bucket load with auto ground balance and auto sensitivity . I just turn the detector on and start swinging .

Same ID as an Etrac ??

If you look under Etrac , in the reference section , should be an ID list

Was going to ask something along the same lines...are the ctx, etrac and explorer series the same number range?  More so just for reference purposes when owners talk about numbers of specific finds between each of the machines.

Guide only as mine are slightly different from those.  Just as Tony said, get out and see what yours read.  The only way is to finds heaps and you will start to work out what each will sound like with your particular settings.

Thanks for posting that table of numbers. It is a handy cross reference. I have started my own numbers list, and They are similar to those here, with only some minor differences. Still, it gives a good heads up on which numbers need to be dug up and which can (with caution!) can be ignored.

I found two sets of numbers in the attached list interesting. 01:40 for the Crown, and 04:46 for the Florin. I don't understand the reason for the low 01 and 04 for the 92.5% pures, when the pure shillings and sixpences start with an 11?

Any thoughts?

Cheers,
Mike
