I'll stick to the E-Trac for the present, & have a real GOOD look at what's available.

I've got a MX5 on the way, but that is more of a backup coin & relic detector.

Sort of sorry I sold my Sov, now. I really enjoyed using it. :(

If I can't handle it, I'll go & have a few beers, or a red wine....or both.... & go from there!

Adrian, I think you are probably spot-on.    8)
That would explain why the E-Track was so far in front.

I believe the SPP delay timing is optimised for gold in which case it will be weak on aussie one and two dollar coins.
A bit like the Infinium where to get the best response from these coins the disc/timing has to cranked up to around 2

I guess your talking about the pulse rate, the SPP is set at a pulse rate of 10 which is good for gold hunting but I have used it on the beach for 2 hunts now and detected a number of $1 and $2 coins but did not take a lot of notice of what depth they were at compared to some crusty 5c coins I found, detected a few other items including a little 925 silver ring.

My mate Ron, who has one of these babies, said a conductivity switch will make it a better coin machine.
