I've had my MX5 for a while now , & use it regularly.

Great little detector, good on coins etc, & no falsing on the beach.

So light, you can go all day.

A great detector for the money.

A VERY underrated detector in my book.

If I can't handle it, I'll go & have a few beers, or a red wine....or both.... & go from there!

Hope it does the job for you Tony . I picked one up s.h. a couple of months ago and am more than happy with it . Makes some funny little noises while i pick my way through junk but lets me know if there's a good target there , seems able to pick out non ferrous from amongst ferrous crap really well . It's surprising me with good finds from hard hunted areas .  Enjoy your new toy .

You will be all white with the 5 tony. Another notch in the belt. Nothing like giving  many detectors a go.
I am still swinging the v3i & the dual field but hanging on for some big advances in technology.
Regards Beepn.

Hello there Ray,

Hope you are very well my friend. I sold the MXT about a year ago due to my "dodgy elbow".....loved the MXT but just a bit too heavy for long hunts. Wouldn't you know it, but my elbow is good now. I need to pick up all of the $1 and $2 coins since you have been gone.... :)
Also, found my first gold nuggets recently (4 nuggets @ 10 grams).
Will try and chat soon,
Tony

Thanks WH.......I need my detecting "fix" during winter.....can't always be in the goldfields and the water detecting isn't great this time of year,
