Please help ID an old coin??
« on: June 26, 2017, 22:46 »
Found this the other day in a park.  At first it didn't look like a coin,  but after some cleaning a monarchs face seemed to appear.  Any ideas?  In its current state it is a little smaller and thinner than a half penny.

Thanks kindly,
Andy.

First looks like a female with a bun but could be a 1600/ 1700's era coin where the kings wore a wig with a bun.

Thanks for the input, but given the coin is so worn (assuming it is a coin), I'll just accept that it's old and worn, and not worry about what it is.  Could be a token or anything really.  The reverse is not distinguishable at all.

I'll just accept that it's old and worn, and not worry about what it is.

Haha that's what you tell yourself, I guarantee it will annoy the crap out of you and very couple of months you'll drag it out and 'have another look'.
