Could it be the face of a stamp for wax seals?
It looks like a 5 and 2 in reverse on the front.
Try stamping some wax or blu-tac and see what the pattern is.

I think the corrosion has chewed out part of the "5" to make it look like a "2"..A cheapo pendant with major cosmic powers as advertised no doubt!

Found 2 just like it last year, within 300mm of each other.
One is chrome shinny with a ring where yours is corroded and the other looks like yours.
Agree with Blueyonder but 2 suggested ear rings, maybee.
Would post a pic but cant get it to work right now.
