I have just received the info for March 8th and 9th 2014 token hunt.
Minelab is once again the major sponsor. They are providing a 3030 plus an X-Terra gold 705 and a Pro find pinpointer. coiltek is providing many prizes as well. Cost is $45 for the weekend,Sunday entry will be cheaper ($35) but you have only half the chance of finding the winning token. Times for the comp are 8am till 3pm Sat and 8am till 1pm sunday.
Draws start at 2pm. You must be onsite to win Detectors.
11' coil or equivalent.
The junior token hunt is on Sat. sponsored by Mark and Ronda from Gold Prospecting Australia. registration 9am and cost per child $10. 16years and under. Major prize is an Xterra 705. Prize drawn 8pm Saturday night.
On Sunday is the Inglewood and districts Community Bendigo bank Junior gold panning comp.
Age groups are Tiny tots 3 to 7yrs, 11 to 13y and 14 to 16 years .

Yep that's me , my Grandson was in the comp also , he is second from the left in the front using my 705 , he didn't find any tokens but some " cool things" his words , more junk in Nannys words , good relics in Granddads words .

Shouldn't affect numbers ?

Yes ant,no more caravan site parking. I will have my camera onsite from dawn till well after dark.

Just booked nearby at Inglewood. 20 minute drive to Wedderburn. No where else available nearby, Charlton which is 20 minute drive is all booked out that long weekend. In Wedderburn, people are on a waiting list for any cancellations at Pioneer, I doubt it though anyone will cancel as they have paid up front for their accomodation.

Anyone else interested in still going and looking for self contained apartments, cabin, motel. nearby???

Well I can tell you that to my supprise that Inglewood Motel and Caravan Park has plenty rooms still available as double rooms for couples at a reasonable fair price. Not for to long though as I spoke to the Manager and have got her to let Wedderburn Pioneer Caravan Park to refer any new people looking to book for the Token hunt.

Get in there quick as they wont last.

Hope to meet a few this year and give the token hunt a go.

Got the ok from work . So I will be making the trip over. They tell me the camping area is a good place for coin spills.

Plenty of room at the Wedderburn token hunt site. Food available and toilets. I would be surprised if no sites at the van park, probably just no onsite accom.
