Paperwork has been issued. Looks like there will be 6 detectors in total. One SD2300 and the rest are Mlb GO-Finds. Held on the Victorian Labour day long weekend in March. No daughters getting married this time so i will be there.

Somebody with a calendar can work it out but i think there are only 10 or 11 Saturdays until the Token hunt is on.

I am thinking of getting some t shirts for the upcoming token hunt which may mention the darkside, is anyone interested and if you are give me a size im willing to pay for up to eight myself but you must be going, and be willing to go through the initiation ceremony to join such an elite league of gentleman

I will be there, busy as usual. Hopefully i will get to talk to a few members Friday or Saturday night. Two years ago i asked the organisers to change the toilets to Unisex for the Token Hunt. It was ridiculous having a line waiting on the Gents and nobody using the Ladies. I missed last year due to my daughters wedding. Does anyone know if they made the changes. If not, i will ask Robin to print a couple of signs.

The clock is ticking, not long now. If it isn't 41c like it is here tomorrow my wife is going to do the town garage sales. Other years competitors could pay Friday at the visitor centre to save some time. Usually the first few in the line Saturday morning get a gift bag.

This reminds me about the story of Billy, an old outback cattleman who somehow found himself elected to the local council.
At his first meeting someone proposed that a urinal be built at the local stockyards. The entire council were in favour of the proposal, all except Billy, who was dead set against the proposal.
Anyway, the motion was carried and in due course the new urinal was built.
At the next council meeting everyone commented on how good it was., even Billy.
The other Councillors asked Billy why he had originally been against the idea, to which Billy rather sheepishly explained that he never knew what a urinal was, and he wasn't going to vote for something he didn't understand.
Billy then got up and thanked the councilors for building it, and as he was so impressed with it he proposed that the council build an arsenal to go with it!

i will be there early thursday as well have to put up the road sign Darkside Drive, so the darkside will be easy to find, we will be in our own street with a uniform on

Trev i am heading up from here about 5:30- 6am Thursday, i should arrive about 9 or so, setup camp and go for a hunt.

Daz and I will be there this year. Haven't been out much lately, will have to dust off the old 705. Looking forward to seeing some familiar faces
