The only people who think what we do is exciting is us and those between 3 and 10 years old.
Unless your finding good stuff hand over fist.
Love the show.

Get VPN, place yourself in the UK and it'll let you in once you join. You may want to use gmail address or similar.
Just watched it. Have always enjoyed it.
I thought it was very funny

I have watched it too, each to their own .. I found it very boring.
We are all entitled to a point of view, each is valid, but can you expand on WHY you found the episode 'boring'?
I'll tell you why I liked it! The Bafta-winning programme is one of the best sit-coms that I have ever seen, up there with the best and consistent with what we saw in series I and II. The discerning detectorist will identify with many of the situations (at least in the UK), like the fact that they might lose one of their permissions because of proposed development. Even I can identify with that even though I haven't swung a coil for years. Perhaps this fact doesn't resonate with Australian detectorists. Mack's research is first class, as always.

The stained relationship with archaeology and its 'experts' is very clearly (and subtlety) shown. I liked many of the 'in-jokes along the way, but doubt whether the general public (and many within the hobby) will have cottoned on the them. I especially enjoyed the ending where the magpies introduce us to what might be. The metaphor equating those birds with detectorists was very well done, and the music beautiful! Mack alludes to the future of the hobby, its present status and what the future may hold.

There were many funny bits along the way. Most detectorists would have appreciated the discussion about cracks, moisture and depth of penetration. Perhaps I am wrong and it's all in my dirty mind! So, I liked it and have tried to show why I am looking forward to the rest of the series. Bring it on! I loved it ... half-an-hour is too short.

DETECTORISTS EPISODE II TEASER ... AND MORE ... hope you can see it!
