Hey guys,
I am very excited to be able to visit Australia for the first time. It has always been a dream of mine to come over. Now I finally do it, I dream of going detecting for gold in the outback. Is there a way to rent a metal detector or do I have to buy one? I will be there only for 3 weeks so I guess buying one would be a stretch. Any advice and help is greatly appreciated. I will be flying in and out of Melbourne. Are there any good areas for gold prospecting nearby? I would love to come along with anyone going on the hunt (will be there 28.3-19.4). I am new here so not much info on me here. You can check me on facebook (search for: Alex Plawa).
Hope for some infos, thanks a lot.
Cheers,
Alex

Hi Everyone
I am looking for an experienced  metal detecting partner. I live in the Camden/Campbelltown area. Travelling is no problem. Please let me know if you want to go out by email or pm. I would dearly like to be taught how it is done not to steal your spots or anything. Thanks
