Lost my fairly new pro pointer yesterday and cant go on a hunt now without one. I find the Garret is the best and the last time( less than a year ago) I ordered one they were around $170 Aus.  I looked at the site in Aus that I bought my last one (large dealer).  They are now $199!   Ok, I will check Texas Premium where I have purchased some other stuff before.  They could get it to me in at least 10 working days for $190 Aus.  I rang up the Aus one and the dealer would not give me one cent discount after telling him I could buy it $40 cheaper in the states.  I didn't have the time to ring around Aus so I went with the states.  Aus one was also charging $18 postage total of $218.

And what is the difference between a CSI pro pointer and a normal one?  I could not find any except the CSI one is $40 dearer?  Guess they think the government are buying them and its OK to rip them off!?

Do i remember you being in credit for a garrett digging tool. Perhaps that would have made the pointer cheaper by onselling it or just telling them to take the diggers cost off the pointers price.

Or I could have told them where to put the digger!  Wasn't the same dealer, no need to mention their business here .

ANT you could try something like this and build it up where the tip of the pro pointer once was

Thanks for the link  ;D

As well as the tip being worn at 45 degrees , It doesn't switch on

Once I get it going , will look at repairing the tip...:):)

Be a little careful which knedit you use, as some contain metal, or at least so I am lead to believe.

So you guys get all your pointer issues sorted ?
As to the  Garret CSI pro pointer, then be aware some are not pin pointers but require you to move the probe like a MD.

As a personal scanner they are fine, for pin pointing....  Not quite the same.

There is no difference between a Garrett Pro-Pointer and a Garrett CSI Pro-Pointer once they are out of the box.
They also work exactly the same way, neither require movement to pinpoint once the target is within detection.

03-Oct.2014 - - -Pro-Pointer........Still available from GMC at $160.00

Interesting as the couple I was given behaved quite differently...  Always a chance they were dodgy brothers, as I was also given a FAKE that was purchased of e-bay by an Australian seller...

The x-pointer I bought from you AM rocks. I have both X-pointer and Garrett. The X-pointer has some extra features. I particularly like silent mode for when you are taking some footage to use on Yootoob. The vibrate "buzz" is picked up by the camera mic without the earsplitting beeps blasting through the voice track. When using the CTX it occasionally picks up the detector but it's a simple step to re-tune it. Just hold down the power button for a few seconds and away you go.  As far as depth goes, virtually no difference that I've noticed. Still using the first battery I ever put in it so can't really say what the battery life will be yet. I like it!

I totally agree with you - once they get your money they go to sleep on a comfortable bed that they bought with our money    >:(
I will now use Shop Mate ( auspost) having my very own US postal address, and with US postage usually free within the US and I have already registered ready to go.
You have to pay for postage to Australia as you do at a reasonable prices I reckon (starting @ $25.00 AUD)
I haven't used Shop Mate yet but a bloke I know has use it and his detector was in his hand in only 6 days from the US after paying, you would have to be happy with that   :)
They will also repackage your item if they think they can save you more on postage, that service will cost you $5.00 AUD saving you more hard earned.
Shop Mate for me.

With out a doubt A.M. I don't remember what the full retail price was, In fact I can't even remember what I paid for it after the discount, but I do remember it was a quite generous one.

I think when you buy something you are more than satisfied with, you soon forget what it cost you. It's only when an item doesn't live up to your expectations it will constantly remind you of how much you paid for it. This piece of kit has exceeded Mine. Thank You A.M. :D

When it comes time to upgrade, remember the new Water proof models are still cheeper than the others, perform as well as and local support.

Nenad has been using the Wader Li for a while now...
And I am going to play a bit with the Wader and see how it runs on 2 x aa   and then a 9v....
