Deus coil sleep time
« on: March 28, 2016, 22:03 »
Just wondering how long other XP owners are getting out of the battery in the coil when not being used as mine don't last long which means a charge every 2 to 3 days, driving me nuts will have to get a battery kit for it me thinks!

Should get much more than that out of it. Is it a new machine or older?

Hi mate,
In standby mode (not being used) the battery should last for a LONG time.
In use anything from 12-18 hours depending on settings, TX 3 really gives it a hammering.

If the battery is going falt in 2-3 days on standby then It sounds like you'll need to replace it.

Get in touch as the battery kits are special order as the glue has a short shelf life and I'll get one organised for you.

Cheers mate,

I can understand the power being depleted quickly on an older battery from general usage, though in standby mode the coil shouldn't use hardly any power at all.  Hopefully Clegy is correct, and the battery is soley at fault.
Clegy, do you personlly do the battery replacement ( thinking warranty on coil water proofing), or is it a DIY task?  I have seen the You Tube clips on cutting the sealant to access the battery housing, renistallation etc.  Cheers

For battery replacement I normally just send the kit to the user and let them DIY.
Otherwise we are looking at postage 2 ways + the fee to replace the battery. It makes it like a $120 exercise instead of
$59.95.
YES I am happy to do it for any customer that asks if needed. The job is pretty easy and XP have a Video taking you through the process.
2 people have done it so far and both said it was quite easy to get done and both had no problems.

Cheers

Sounds good, looked easy enough to do and relatively inexpensive (famous last words).  ;D
Battery replacement on the remote and WS4 should also be straightforward.
