7000 new 19" coil
« on: November 12, 2016, 10:54 »
The new coil will be available to the general public on Monday.
It is 19" and feels heavy but as long as it does the job as claimed we should see some large gold soon.

Couple of rubber wheels on the front and back might help, add a couple of plastic springs and you got independant suspension, lol.

Every ML coil sold to date came fitted with a skid plate surely this would be the same for the new beast

Not sure why, but I've been told that all 19" coils made available by Minelab have already been sold.

The new coil has a skid plate and a rubber beading around the edge. It is just under 2 kg i think, and about 600 grams heavier than the original.   My tv antenna (reply 4) has to go back Monday.

Ouch !! I was worried with one of my 15" coils weighing in at 1047g.

There are many mixed reviews but lets face it if it adds just another couple of inches that's all it takes to find a Life Changer / Door Stop.

John.

I have posted 3 large nuggets found by others with the new coil in outback WA. You can see them on the Bendigo Prospecting Club Facebook page.
