Hi Roger, its being a while since i posted as have had a few trips around  oz. Hi Whitehunter this detector has some great advancements for a vlf but is only sold in Africa and the Middle East at a great price of $680. Maybe the rest of the World will get it in the future heres hoping.
Regards Beepn.

looks interesting, raises a few questions...

I wonder if you were to purchase one from overseas and once its landed here in aus you could upload the latest v4.0 in place of the gold setup?

do the dpr600 coils work with the new v4.0 deus software?

when are the latest deus coils going to be available here in AUS?
and is one of the new v4.0 deus coils the same as the eliptical one running super high frequency in the video?

also whats to stop someone releasing the software updates for both the deus 4.0 and the dpr600 and you just choose a coil and download the program before each hunt. 2 detectors for the price of 1?

@clegy, whats the goss?

The DPR600
Its pretty much been covered in this thread so far. The Model is by XP made for depar detectors. It is targeted at the african market as there is a pretty serious gold rush going on over there.
It is a dedicated gold machine and is basically a small part of the Deus software developed for this machine.
It's not a Deus so Deus hardware/ software will not work with it. These units will not hold the V4 firmware as they just don't have the internals for it.
There are no coin programs and really it just has program 10 with a few variations saved in the presets.

No Availability here in Australia as far as I know.
Hope that helps a bit.

WOW - I see that Depar are all caught up in the ML Vs XP case and Depar are no longer a distributer of ML equipment..

http://www.minelab.com/anz/go-minelabbing/news?article=301648
QUOTE from another site:
It seems that if Minelab won the case against XP Detectors, they may be left without XP Deus!    The happening with Depar is a reminder to the rest of the distributors that at any moment Minelab can work with their rivals and leave them without supplies of metal detectors.

I guess it comes back to power and if as an agent you have fingers in a few pies including  ML and they are not happy with a pie AND they are getting even = Agents / Distributors could pay the price....
