Bit of a guess here SteelPat - think he would be swinging his 4800 with one of those new you beaut coils.
My mate Lex  ( who is detecting with him at the moment ) rang about 40 minutes ago to say he had no gold  but Alan got a bit 2.4 grams and a little point 2 as well . Couple of cool days lets them all get out and have a bit of a go .

Thanks for that. I had to sell my 7000 for financial reasons and picked up a 4500 instead. Bit worried my days of finding gold every trip are now gone.

Not sure how many trips I've been Goldless for , maybe about 30 hours worth ...?
But seeing that 102g piece come out certainly adds to the motivation .

Alan had to go to the toilet, as he put his detector down he heard it signal something. When he returned he checked it and found the large nugget. He recently found the 30 grams with his 705 and on the way to our Xmas party he picked up a multi ouncer as well.

  • Oldest find: Ancient gold and 1797 cartwheel penny.
