Gold coast gold nuggets.
« on: March 25, 2017, 15:37 »
3 large nuggets found on the gold coast.
I think they probably came from someones collection rather than soil dumped on the beach.

I've seen and collected floating rocks (pumice stone) at the beach, but never heard of or experienced any floating gold of that size, not even floating on top of sand.

Roman coins in Echuca, Saxon coins in Qld and now gold on the beach, I wonder when we will get Bronze Age axes

If this is a true story and a true find, I would be researching where the quarry fill came from and seek out the original source. If he did really find these in the sand and a few meters apart without a detector, I would be surprised.

These so called nugget finds at the GC did not come from the northern end as reported
They came from the new rock-wall at Kirra that was made to restore the surf to how it was 40 yrs back , the Rock came from xxxxxxx and the gold shed is in the shallow water not on the beach , "big Gold dont Float"  ;)
