BPC member gold find - Heathcote trip
« on: April 10, 2017, 08:33 »
Saturday was chosen as a one dayer - great day as it was a warm and clear day but the rain came in Saturday evening and it rained on and off all night and into Sunday as well.
The club had a very good turn up - most finding the odd small piece but the 13.3 grammer beat every thing hands down - I think I heard someone say we ended up with about 26 grams for the day.
A mate and myself tried for a while on Sunday morning when the rain eased but the lightning in the distance made the detectors rattle so was very difficult to hone in on a target - still my mate got 5 little bits and I got only the one bit and then the rain came in again and we called it quits and came on home.

Pulling the doona up around the neck now but I'm happy with that as one can go a bit harder out detecting.
