Whites.MX5 Vs Garrett AT Pro
« on: April 24, 2017, 16:16 »
Hi guys,
Looking at upgrading soon and wondering who has used both the mx5 and AT Pro.
Curious on your thoughts, pro,  come, etc.
Thans

Had an AT Pro ( sold it ) and currently have the MX5 --Both VG detectors but prefer the MX5 particularly with the  5"  oval coil.   It's better on silver than the AT and just as good on Aussie coins as my Etrac. Not fair to compare it with an Etrac as the multi sounds of the Etrac are hard to beat.  Ideal for getting around those steel oval fences and seats --just tune them out.   Light weight makes it easy to use over a longer period.  Very sensitive but no problem to use it on max sensitivity particularly in " hot " ground.
Highly recommend.
