What is it?
« on: May 30, 2017, 10:33 »
Hi together,

I have made this found and was wondering what it could be?
Have done some research on google but did not work out.
Anyone ideas?

Oh. I am new to this forum, and my name is jojo. I have been detecting for a year now with my xterra 705 and have found some cool coins and other items, which I would like to share with you guys at a later stage. :)
I am also happy to meet up with people around Melbourne to go for a hunt together :)

Jojo

Welcome to the forum jojo. Whatever the item is it would have looked fairly flash when it was made.
Are you from around Melbourne or out a bit?

Welcome Jojo.
Any detail on the other side?
4 fingers wide makes it a large item, Sash buckle maybe ?
Just guessing.

Howdy,
Welcome to the Forum. Could it be a bit of fancy horse gear. Decorations of a saddle or some such

Hi all, and thanks for the welcome! :)
I made another picture showing the backside. Unfortunately no engravings.
When I look in google to a victorian sash buckle, the design looks very similar.
Just is my item very very thin and too fragile for that purpose I think.
@Rwork: Directly from the city. Are you a bit further out?

Greetings to all!
And if someone has got another suggestion, let me hear it guys! :)
